This year so far has mainly been about interiors; kitchens and bathrooms to be precise, with another 6 page feature in February’s Kitchen, Bedroom and Bathroom magazine (KBB). This time it features a beautiful spacious bathroom in a Victorian terrace in Stoke Newington which I shot for talented, London interior designer Lara Francis.
The bathroom is a very sumptuous space, black slate stretches from floor to ceiling and a huge Hoesch bath takes centre stage. The large sash window with bespoke roman blind looks out onto a lovely golden Rubinia which casts a dappled summery light and takes you away from the city. The walk in shower / wet area features a niche with coloured tiles and lights to add colour and contrast the slate. The room has a luxurious masculine scheme but feels calm and welcoming and is softened by the addition of key accessories like an original 1950s Norman Cherner Butterfly chair.
