GIANT MACHINERY, DARK MINES AND VAST QUARRIES, THERE'S MORE TO THE CROWN ESTATE THAN YOU MIGHT EXPECT.

This industrial photography commission for The Crown Estate involved traveling all over the country photographing quarries, saw mills and mines. The project was to document the extraction of mineral resources on Crown Estate land and create an image library covering the different stages of the process, from quarry site or forest to finished materials. The images would allow the resources to be advertised to contractors for use when for new buildings on other Crown Estate sites, rather than sourcing materials from elsewhere.
